The original Blue Monkey was a North East Sunderland Nightclub popular with the hardcore ravers in the early 90's until it was destroyed in a fire. Efforts began in 99 to rename the club The New Monkey.
 
A lovely tribute to the Blue Monkey in the form of a vibrant candle.
